Goings on

This collections of works started with the painting titled psychedelics. At the time I was playing around with fabric and mixed media thinking about the sixties and experimenting with abstract composition. The works in this show reflect short bursts of creative energy in the studio; collage, painting, drawing and mixed media on small canvas or wooden panels. Often the composition and colour is inspired by my emotional and physical state in that moment. Mindful creations of colour draw on memories of sensory experience and explore the abstract through mark making, pattern and spatial composition.
